The new 80th Operations Group building is LEED Silver Certified, and as such, they were very conscious of keeping a high environmental standard in their furniture selection.

AIS was selected for this project not only because of its high environmental standards but because of the high-quality product that it produced at a reasonable price.

The client loved the fact that the Matrix system could accommodate power and data at nearly every height inside the panel. They requested location 3 for their power/data in order to provide easy access just under the worksurface while simultaneously keeping all their wires off the floor. This resulted in a very functional and clean looking space. A lot of glass tiles were also used to allow natural light into the open areas.

A mix of standard worksurfaces and Calibrate storage was used for this installation. Two duplexes were provided above each Calibrate credenza to allow for easy access to plug in phone chargers, laptops and other mobile devices. AIS Calibrate low bookcase credenzas were used in back-to-back configurations with custom tops to create coffee tables in study areas. Custom magnetic markerboard tiles were also provided for the ability to have flight briefings at their workstations.
